A lot goes on behind the scenes at Cotswold Architecture + Design, over the past year we've been working on this 11 plot new build development and refurbishment to a historic chapel in Chepstow. The design has had it's challenges, after being inherited from another designer, we've had to make it work on site.

6 of these properties are being sold to Monmouthshire County Council as part of their Homes Scheme, and the rest are to be provided as new build market housing.

With new builds having a bad reputation of late, small scale developments such as these have to go against the grain and be built to a high standard - which is why we agreed with the developer to experiment in using ICF blockwork, of extremely high thermal values, allowing the EPC's to be exceptional.

A mixture of the ICF Blockwork, excellent insulation within the roof structure, and timber framing, we can enable an overperforming quality to these homes, in an ideal location a few minutes walk directly from the town center, this opportunity to create something useful and striking is wonderful.
