As we welcome the start of 2026, it’s the perfect moment to pause and reflect on what has been a truly landmark year for the team at Cotswold Architecture + Design. Throughout 2025, our drawing boards have been home to an incredibly diverse range of projects, each sharing a common goal: blending high-end contemporary design with the unique, historic character of our region.

Sometimes here at Cotswold Architecture + Design, we don't just help domestic clients; and this was certainly the case recently, where long time friends of the practice, Porsche Club GB commissioned us to assist with their latest event layout and strategy - "A Porsche Christmas". Assisting with setting out and organising their many stalls, routes and catering locations at their event at Farnborough International.

Our 11 plot new build home development in Chepstow, incorperating different materials such as ICF Blockwork, excellent insulation within the roof structure, and timber framing, with modern brick slip facades and standing seam roofing - integrating into the existing historical chapel that's now been converted into two homes. Plots 1-6 are now in the final stages of internal finishing, due to go on the market at the beginning of 2026, with pricing ranging from £200-300k resp

We have recently completed proposals to transform a standard, dated Cotswolds home on the outskirts of Cirencester, into a modern, Scandinavian inspired home with an open plan kitchen/dining area, conversion of the existing garage into a utility space, and vast amounts of light, flow and creativity packed into a unique design, enabling the property to stand out whilst maintaining the character of the area.

We had been instructed to complete the Planning & Construction Drawings for this new development for 5 high-end apartments in a desirable location within Newport, Wales, on behalf of a local developer. The site was not without it's challenges, from previous applications to navigate (including an omitted underground garage) to drainage complexities and Culverts providing some additional challenges.

This contemporary extension in the heart of Cheltenham sure is easy on the eye - combining complimentary materials, such as zinc cladding, dark framed windows on the existing brickwork is shaping up to be a lovely addition to this otherwise uninspiring home.

Ground has broken on our latest project: "The Annexe", situated within the grounds of a lovely Grade II listed Thatched Roof cottage, the client wanted to replace their existing concrete framed garage to an ancilliary annexe for family members, whilst also retaining some storage space.
